Ghana Mission Trip 2015

In March, Steve Nethery and Christine Clary participated on a mission trip to Ghana, Africa.  They accompanied Bryan and Nancy Taliaferro (from Tappahanock, VA) and were joined later by Dean Miller (with the BGAV) and T Thomas.

The first leg of this trip was in Accra, Ghana where they met with the ladies of Kairos10, Katheryn Pennington and Phyllis Morris, and learned of their contributions to helping to fight Malaria and build the economy of Ghana.  They met many of the ladies who make the jewelry for Kairos10 and visited the bead factory where the beads are made - from trashed glass to beautiful creation!!

The second leg of the trip was in Yendi where they partnered with Emmanuel "Muss" Mustapha and the Ghana Baptist Convention to distribute "Mosquito Nets" to several villages in Yendi.  In addition, several new churches were formed and leaders of those churches were trained.  They also visited with churches that were already functioning there, worshiped with them and encouraged their leaders and members.

The end of the trip was highlighted by a parade and celebration service to commemorate 10 years of God's work being done in Ghana and around the world...from tractors being donated and delivered to the school being formed - "Northeastern Christian Academy" (NECA for short).

The following gallery of photos are a small portion of the work that was done by the Glory of GOD!!!
